On 7 June 2023, India's eminent deslai (matchbox) collector Raj Ratan Rana was granted International Membership of the BMCC. Mr. Sakil Huq, founder president of the club presented him with the membership card. As a sign of friendship, he was presented with gifts by the club. Club Secretary General Rashel Rahman Shimul, Honorable Life Member Sammajit Banik and Ferdous Rahman Khan Tamal were present on the occasion.

BMCC does not mean only deslai collection. BMCC stands for friendship.

The National Match Exhibition 2023 organized by the Australian Matchbox Cover Collectors' Society, AMCCS (SA) concluded on 14 May.

Mr. David Figg – President, AMCCS (SA) and Honorary Life Member (International) BMCC, won gold and silver medals in the competitive display frames section at the exhibition. We are delighted and inspired by his success.

BMCC celebrates John Walker's Birthday

Bangladesh Matchbox Collectors Club (BMCC) celebrated the 237th birthday of John Walker on 29 May, 2018, the English inventor who invented the friction match and namely the matchbox To celebrate this event, BMCC arranged for a discussion and published a Special Cover at their Hatripool Head Office in Dhaka. Shakil Huq, the head of the association, encouraged all to celebrate 29 May as the annual matchbox day.
