About Us

Welcome to
Bangladesh Matchbox Collectors' Club
BMCC

Bangladesh Matchbox Collector's Club (BMCC) is the first International organization of phillumenists in Bangladesh. BMCC has been working to promote matchbox collection in Bangladesh and around the world. BMCC also works to research and preserve history of Matchboxes.

It was Mr. Shakil Huq to think of establishing this nice platform with phillumenists all over the world. One of the renowned phillumenists of the world and the pioneer of phillumeny in Bangladesh, Shakil Huq founded the club in 2016 with some other nice collectors of Bangladesh. Though the organization started its journey with only five members, it grew larger as a number of collectors joined the organization over the years. BMCC must be credited for taking the the hobby of phillumeny to a new stage and inspiring the young generation to collection of matchboxes in Bangladesh as before BMCC, phillumeny was much neglected in Bangladesh.

Today BMCC is one of the leading phillumenists' organizations in the world with hard-working and dedicated collectors. BMCC publishes a quarterly journal Diyashlai on phillumeny which is the first international journal on phillumeny in the history of Indian Subcontinent. BMCC publishes also nice matchboxes from Bangladesh and is also working to establish the first matchbox museum in Bangladesh.

BMCC is a nice and variegated organization with collectors from different countries and people of different occupations. BMCC not only promotes collection, but also develops friendship, co-operation and communication among the collectors from different parts of the world. BMCC dreams of a peaceful world by inspiring people to do creative works and good deeds for people. BMCC also thinks of betterment of society  and often involves it's members in social works for underprivileged people in difficult conditions. BMCC works for  peace, friendship and harmony in society rather than hatred, confliction, brutality and drug-addiction.

It's a world of many colours

A world where everyone's free

It's a world of love and harmony

A world of compassion and tranquility
